Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains which personal data GhostFox (“GhostFox”, “we”) collects when you visit ghostfox-anty.com or use the GhostFox desktop application, why we use it, and the rights you have. We apply the principles of the EU/UK GDPR, the Moroccan law 09-08, the California CCPA/CPRA and similar laws worldwide.
1. Who is responsible for your data
The data controller is GhostFox, —, —. Contact for any privacy question: contact@ghostfox-anty.com.
2. Data stored only on your computer
GhostFox is designed so that your work stays on your machine. The following data is stored locally on your computer and is never sent to our servers:
- your browser profiles, their cookies, local storage, history and saved passwords;
- your proxies and their credentials;
- fingerprint settings, notes, tags and start pages of your profiles.
You are the only one who controls this data. Deleting a profile or uninstalling the app removes it from your computer.
3. Data we collect
- Account data: email address, password (stored only as a secure hash), messenger contact (WhatsApp, Telegram or other), promo code, newsletter preference, interface language, plan and expiry date.
- Device and licence data: a technical device identifier generated by the app, computer name, IP address, app version, date of last connection and the number of profiles (not their content). This is used to apply your plan limits and protect your account.
- Orders: chosen plan, duration, amount, currency, preferred payment method and your message. We do not receive or store your card or bank details.
- Messages you send us: name, email, contact, subject, message, language and IP address.
- Security data: IP addresses of login attempts (kept 1 hour to block attacks) and a log of emails sent by the service (kept 30 days).
- Website usage: pages visited, clicks, time spent, referring site, device type and approximate location derived from your IP address, measured by our own statistics tool hosted on our server (kept up to 180 days, never sold or shared); technical cookies needed for the site, and – only if you accept them – analytics and marketing cookies (see the Cookie Policy).
4. Why we use your data and legal bases
| Purpose | Legal basis |
|---|---|
| Create and manage your account, provide the app and your plan, apply device and profile limits | Performance of the contract |
| Handle your orders and payments, keep accounting records | Contract and legal obligations |
| Send service emails (email confirmation, password reset, order and activation messages) | Performance of the contract |
| Answer your messages and provide support | Contract / legitimate interest |
| Secure the service, prevent fraud and abuse, enforce the Acceptable Use Policy | Legitimate interest |
| Newsletters and offers | Consent (you can unsubscribe at any time in your account) |
| Website analytics and advertising measurement | Consent through the cookie banner |
5. Who receives your data
We do not sell your personal data. We only share it with service providers that help us run GhostFox, under contracts that protect your data:
- Hosting: Namecheap, Inc. (servers and email sending);
- Payment providers you choose (for example PayPal, a crypto network or your bank), which process the payment under their own privacy policies;
- Analytics and advertising tools, only if enabled on the site and accepted by you: Google (Analytics / Tag Manager), Microsoft Clarity, Meta and Yandex;
- Authorities, when required by law or to protect our rights.
When you click “Check proxy” in the app, your computer contacts a public IP-lookup service through your proxy to show its country and time zone; when the app starts for the first time it downloads its browser engine from its official distributor. These requests come from your computer, not from us.
6. International transfers
Our hosting provider and some tools are located outside your country, including in the United States. When data leaves the European Economic Area, the UK or Morocco, we rely on safeguards such as the European Commission Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent mechanisms.
7. How long we keep your data
- Account and device data: as long as your account exists, then deleted within 30 days after closure;
- Orders and accounting records: for the period required by tax and commercial law;
- Contact messages: up to 24 months;
- Login-attempt IP addresses: 1 hour; email sending log: 30 days;
- Analytics cookies: see the Cookie Policy.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you can ask to access, correct, delete or export your data, restrict or object to its use, and withdraw your consent at any time (cookies: “Privacy choices” link; newsletter: your account profile). California residents can ask what personal information we collect and request deletion; we do not sell personal information, and you can refuse advertising cookies at any time.
Write to contact@ghostfox-anty.com from the email of your account. We answer within one month. You can also file a complaint with your data protection authority (for example the CNIL in France, the CNDP in Morocco or the ICO in the UK).
9. Security
We use HTTPS encryption, hashed passwords, digitally signed communication between the app and our server, limited access to data and regular updates. No system is 100 % secure: please use a strong, unique password and keep your computer protected.
10. Children
GhostFox is not intended for people under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children; if you think a child has given us data, contact us and we will delete it.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy to reflect changes in the service or the law. The date at the top shows the latest version; important changes are announced on the website or by email.
