Each profile should use its own proxy, so every account appears with a different IP address. GhostFox supports HTTP, HTTPS and SOCKS5 proxies, with or without a username and password.
Paste the proxy in one step
Open the profile (Edit) and find the Proxy section. In the Paste field, paste your proxy in one of these formats – GhostFox fills in the fields automatically:
host:port
host:port:username:password
username:password@host:port
http://username:password@host:port
socks5://username:password@host:port
You can also fill in Type, Host : Port and Login / Pass manually.
Check the proxy
Click Check proxy. GhostFox connects through the proxy and shows its IP address, country, city and time zone. If the check fails, verify the host, port, type and credentials with your proxy provider.
With Timezone and Geolocation set to "Auto: based on the proxy IP", the profile automatically matches the proxy location – no manual settings needed.
Which proxy should I choose?
| Type | Best for |
|---|---|
| Residential | Social networks, marketplaces and ad accounts: IPs from real home connections. |
| Mobile (4G/5G) | The most sensitive platforms: IPs shared by many real mobile users. |
| Datacenter | Testing and scraping: fast and cheap, but easier to recognise. |
Good practices
- Use one proxy per profile and keep the same proxy for the same account.
- Choose a proxy in the same country as the account.
- Prefer SOCKS5 when your provider offers it.
- Keep WebRTC on "Altered" so your real IP is never exposed.
Avoid free public proxies: they are slow, often blocked and may read your traffic.
