GhostFox works on Windows 10 and Windows 11 (64-bit). Installation takes about two minutes and does not require administrator rights.
1. Download the installer
On the GhostFox home page, click Download for Windows. The file GhostFox-Setup.exe is saved to your Downloads folder.
2. Run the installer
- Double-click
GhostFox-Setup.exe. - Follow the steps and click Install.
- GhostFox creates a shortcut on your desktop and in the Start menu.
If Windows SmartScreen shows "Windows protected your PC", click More info, then Run anyway. This message appears for new applications that are not yet widely downloaded.
3. Log in or create an account
When GhostFox opens, enter your email and password and click LOGIN. If you do not have an account yet, click CREATE ACCOUNT: the free plan lets you start right away.
4. First launch
The first time you start a profile, GhostFox downloads its browser engine. This happens only once and takes a minute depending on your connection.
Updates
GhostFox checks for updates automatically when it starts. When a new version is available, click Update now: your profiles, cookies and settings are kept.
You can change the interface language (English, Français, العربية) and switch between light and dark mode from the sidebar.
